With great sorrow, it has been announced that AirSHOW Radom 2025 will not take place. The decision follows the death of Major Pilot Maciej “Slab” Krakowian, leader of the F-16 Tiger Demo Team Poland, who lost his life during preparations.
During a training flight at Radom Airport, his F-16 crashed. While exiting a looping maneuver, the aircraft lost altitude and hit the runway. Despite the immediate response of emergency services, the pilot could not be saved.
Major Krakowian was stationed at the 31st Tactical Air Base in Poznań-Krzesiny and had logged more than 1,400 flight hours, around 1,200 of them on the F-16. Earlier this year, he was internationally recognized with the prestigious “As the Crow Flies” Trophy at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT 2025) in the United Kingdom.
With his passing, Poland has lost not only an experienced officer and gifted aviator, but also a prominent representative of the Polish Air Force.
